Challenge
Companies must comply with enhanced due diligence obligations when trading certain products associated with deforestation or forest degradation. That includes products made from wood (also paper), cocoa, coffee, soy, rubber, palm oil, or cattle. Such products must be deforestation-free and produced in accordance with the "relevant legislation of the country of production" (including human rights compliance). Following a last-minute delay, the EUDR will apply as of December 30, 2025 (originally December 30, 2024).
